What size would I be in Apartment Pants?

Apartment pants are designed to be worn loose with a drop crotch - you would buy your normal size in pants e.g size 10 buy a size 10, size 12 buy a size 12.

We have noticed people sizing down for a more slim lined look - this is fine - totally up to how you want to wear them - but please just note that for pants that have a pattern printed all over (e.g feathers, birds, flowers) - wearing them fitted will cause the print to rub on your opposite leg which can cause dye transfer between the print and the fabric on the opposite leg. This will be relevant between the legs only - and is not a fault in the fabric, print or dye, but is directly from pants rubbing against themselves in this tight fitted area. Please note we will not accept returns for ‘dye running’ as this is not the case - to prevent this from happening - please buy your actual size in the pants and don’t size down. When you wear the pants as they were designed to be worn, loose fitting in the crotch, this will not happen.


Why do I get charged Rural postage and everyone else gets free postage?

Postage is free within NZ to non-rural addresses. Postage to rural addresses is half price - we pay half/you pay half - so we are paying the same amount towards rural postage, as we would towards residential postage - rural postage costs us twice the price, this is why there is a small cost of $5 towards rural postage. Please remember that returns are free, so postage costs can really add up when sending rurally. If you are rural, and you choose to select free postage to your rural address, we will contact you for a non rural address before we post your package. So please keep it honest and choose rural postage if you live rurally.


How do you post your items?

Items are posted within 3 working days of you placing your order - and are sent with PBT.

If you live rurally items will be handed from PBT to NZ Post for delivery.

We DO NOT POST to private bags or post office boxes sorry.

International orders are sent with NZ Post, untracked.


Do you have laybuy online?

We would love our customers to support local, and check out your local Home-lee stockist before buying online through us. Most of our stockists have laybuy - so to give them a competitive edge over us, we have selected not to have laybuy online. You can check out our stockists under the ‘stockist’ page online where there are many local choices for you to buy either in-store or online.


Do you have a physical Home-lee shop?

Yes we do. Our retail boutique is located in Richmond, Nelson.

The address is 14 Gladstone Road, Richmond in between the Z Petrol Station and Jubilee Park. Our retail boutique is a small shop attached to our large warehouse, which is why we are not in a ‘retail’ area.

Our hours are Monday to Friday 9-2.30pm, Saturday 9-1.00pm. Closed Sunday and Public Holidays

General fit is true to size for a comfortable fit


What is your return/exchange terms?

When buying online you can return your item for an exchange in another size, or a full refund. Items must be returned in original condition and packaging within 14 days.

Many items are returned to us with no information which means we have to put them in a pile and wait until the person follows up to see if we have received it back - as we don’t know who they belong to. These items pass through 3 seperate units of the business in the returns process - so all information is needed to be included on the card for us to process this quickly and easily.



Why didn’t I receive an email confirmation for my order?

When checking out online you will have the option of filling out your email address, or leaving it blank - if you leave it blank we are unable to send you any email confirmations, as we don’t have an email address. These will be texted to your cell phone number that you have opted to leave in-lieu of leaving an email address.


Where are your items made?

All our items are designed in New Zealand, and manufactured for us in China.

We have a small family owned and run factory that manufactures exclusively for Home-lee.

We visit with our factory and the workers/owners there 2-4 times a year.
